Your rights and choices

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Nevada, or Virginia, you have certain rights regarding the personal information businesses hold about you.

Right to access

You may request information about the categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell. Specifically, you can ask for: (a) the categories of personal information we collect about you; (b) the sources we obtain it from; (c) the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling it; (d) the categories we sell to third parties; (e) the categories of third parties we sell it to; and (f) the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you. We will provide this information once we verify your request.

Right to correct

You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is processed. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to make the corrections you direct.

Right to deletion (right to be forgotten)

You may ask us to delete personal information we have collected or maintained about you, subject to certain exceptions allowed under applicable law. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete the information from our records unless an exception applies.

Right to non-discrimination

You will not face discrimination for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA or comparable laws. We will not (a) deny you goods or services; (b) charge a different price or rate, including through the use of penalties; (c) provide a different level or quality of goods or services; or (d) suggest you will receive a different price, rate, level, or quality.

Right to opt out

You may direct us not to sell your personal information to third parties at any time. We share information only as described in this notice. If you opt out, we will stop sending your personal information to third parties. You may opt back in at any time.

Right to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information

Sensitive Personal Information receives heightened protection under the law because of its more vulnerable nature. We do not sell or share Sensitive Personal Information; we only use it for business purposes. You may ask us to limit the use of your Sensitive Personal Information at any time by contacting us. If you live in Virginia or Colorado, we do not collect Sensitive Personal Information (as defined under those states' laws) without your consent. To consent to that collection and use here, write to us with the subject line "Consent to Use My Sensitive Personal Information for Virginia and Colorado Residents."

How to exercise your rights

To exercise your rights to know, access, or be forgotten, please send a verifiable consumer request to privacy@homepronearme.com.

To exercise your right to opt out, you may also use the Do Not Sell My Info link in the footer of our website.

Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State whom you authorize to act on your behalf, may submit a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also submit one on behalf of your minor child.

You may submit a verifiable consumer request to know or for access no more than twice within a 12-month period. The request must: (1) provide enough information to allow us to reasonably verify that you are (a) the person whose information was collected, or (b) that person's authorized representative; and (2) describe the request in enough detail that we can understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

We may need additional information to verify your request or to understand its scope. You will not be required to create an account on HomeProNearMe to submit or fulfill a request. We cannot respond to a request or share personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority and confirm that the information relates to you. Personal information you provide in connection with a verifiable consumer request will be used only to verify your identity or authority. We may decline to act on requests if we reasonably determine that you are not a California resident.

Response timing and format

We aim to respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days of receipt. If we need more time (up to ninety (90) days total), we will let you know in writing along with the reason and the extension period. If you have an account with us, we will deliver our response through that account; if not, we will send it by mail or electronically, at your choice. Disclosures will cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. If we cannot fulfill all or part of your request, the response will explain why. For data portability requests, we will choose a format that is readily usable and that should let you transfer the information from one entity to another without hindrance.

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If a fee applies, we will explain the reasons and provide a cost estimate before proceeding.
